Anastasia Sadomski Composer and Classical Pianist

Anastasia Sadomski was born in Odessa, Ukraine, in 1984. At the age of five she began to study piano and compose music.

She studied classical piano and composition in Musical Academy Nezhdanova in Odessa, where she graduated with a Master degree in 2007.
In 2007 she moved to Israel and studied in Rimon Jazz School, afterwards she went to Bar Ilan University and continued her composition studies.
Among her teachers of composition were Julia Gomelska (Ukraine), Betty Oliviero (Israel) and Josef Bardanashvili (Israel).

Anastasia composed many works for different ensembles, amongst them: "Moths" - for Piano and Electro Piano (2014); "Earth Symphony" - for Symphony Orchestra (2014); "If" - for Contrabass Solo (2012); "Lethe" - for Piano Solo (2012); "Eclipse" - for Clarinet, Bassoon, Piano, Violin and Cello (2012), was performed in "Two Days and Two Nights" international new music festival, Odessa, Ukraine (2013); "Stone" - for Cello and Piano (2011), was performed in international new music festivals: "Two Days and Two Nights", Odessa, Ukraine (2012) and "Gogolfest", Kiev, Ukraine (2013), was also performed by the Academy of Music in Jerusalem, by Itamar Ringel, and is being performed as part of the repertoire of ensemble “Senza Sforzando” (Ukraine); "Trees of Life" - for a mixed choir (2011), was performed by ensemble “Carmina” in a concert "Music Plus", organized by the Israel Composers' League (ICL), conducted by Taum Karni, Tel Aviv, Israel (2013); Works for wind instruments - for a children's compositions book (2011), was performed in Holon Music Center, Israel; String Quartet (2008), was performed (and won second prize) in Rimon Composer Competition, Anav Cultural Center, Tel Aviv, Israel (2008).

She wrote music for movies: "Widows", directed by Ilan Fischer, Los Angeles, USA (2013); "Shabbat", directed by Yuri Sadomsky, Odessa, Ukraine (2010); "The Rare Rain", directed by Giorgi Diliev, Odessa, Ukraine (2003).

She wrote for theater plays: "The Assassination of Yitzhak", funded by The Fred Simmons Trustee Project, Tel Aviv University, Israel (2013); "Off Stage", participated in 'Acco Theater Festival', Israel (2013); "Nevachim", participated in the 12th 'SmallBama' student theater festival, sponsored by Tel Aviv University Student Union and the Department of Theater Studies, Tel Aviv, Israel (2013).

Anastasia's winnings in composer competitions: Second prize at the Rimon Composer Competition, Israel (2008); Third prize at the Third International Competition for young composers, St. Petersburg, Russia (2003);
First prize at the National Composition Competition "Live Music", Kiev, Ukraine (2001).
