Yuval Shay-El

Born in Israel, 1963. During the year 1982-1987 he studied composition with Harry Nadel between and received a B.A in physics from the Technion Institute of Technology (1984), Haifa and an M.A. in meteorology from Tel-Aviv University (1990) In 1993 he received an M.A.mus. from Boston University where he studied composition with Charles Fussell and Lukas Foss. Since his return to Israel, Yuval tutors composition while continuing his studies of meteorology at Tel-Aviv University towards a PhD. He is also employed as an investigator at the Interdisciplinary Center for Technological Analysis and Forecasting at Tel-Aviv University. Yuval is member of the Israeli Composers’ League since 1986.
